For school IT
MapScouts email.
What to allow.
Teachers sign in to MapScouts with a link or a code we email them, and they hear from us about their classes. Here is everything that sends, so it reaches them.
The sender
- Every email comes from no-reply@mapscouts.com, sent through Resend. The domain is signed (DKIM on
mapscouts.com), and bounces go tosend.mapscouts.com. - A teacher’s request to a principal comes from the same address, with the teacher’s name as the sender’s name, and replies go to the teacher.
- Links point to mapscouts.com and teach.mapscouts.com.
What to allow
- Allow mapscouts.com as a sender domain (for Google Workspace, an approved sender in Gmail settings; for Microsoft 365, an allowed sender domain in the anti-spam policy).
- Allow links to mapscouts.com and teach.mapscouts.com.
Link scanning is fine
Sign-in links open a page with a button, and only the button signs a teacher in, so a scanner that opens links (Safe Links, Mimecast, Proofpoint) never uses one up. Every sign-in email also carries a code the teacher can type instead.
What we collect
Students never have accounts or email. We keep first names and play progress only: no ads, nothing sold or shared. The Privacy Policy has the details, and we sign district student data privacy agreements.
Questions: write to us.
